Plant Accountant

The Plant Accountant position is responsible for managing all accounting activities related to the plant's financial operations. This role includes maintaining accurate financial records, performing cost analysis, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory accounting standards. The Plant Accountant works closely with the Regional Plant Controller and Plant Operations team members to support financial decision-making and improve plant performance. This role will also provide some support for the Hendersonville, NC plant remotely with the opportunity for travel.

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Prepares accurate and timely monthly financial statements, and other analysis for management's guidance.
• Provide day-to-day reporting of manufacturing performance and earned hours for both Christiansburg and Hendersonville sites.
• Compile weekly forecasts to assist the Regional Plant Controller with the Weekly Flash forecast meetings.
• Provide monthly journal entry support and balance sheet reconciliations for COGS and inventory accounts for the Christiansburg and Hendersonville sites
• Provide ad-hoc support for the Plant Operations team on-site.
• Provide financial support for the annual physical inventory, as well as guidance throughout the year in the monthly inventory cycle counts.
• Review plant purchase orders and AP transactions to ensure they follow company guidelines and for reasonableness.
• Support audits by providing documentation and explanations for financial transactions related to plant operations.
• Respond to year-end audit requests for inventory and product cost testing for the Christiansburg and Hendersonville plants
• Work on special projects as required

Compensation

The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more. This salary range is $80,000-$95,000.
