What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Leader - Injection Mold position at Current Openings?
Throughout the Gardner family’s ownership of Superior Trim, we have made, and continue to make, significant investments to ensure that Superior Trim has all of the appropriate technologies in-house and available to produce cost-competitive, high-quality interior and exterior trim products for medium/heavy duty trucks and other commercial vehicles that our customers expect.
We are currently looking for 2nd shift Group Leader for our Injection Mold department at our Superior Trim Main facility, located at 2151 Industrial Drive.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Sets up or serves as liaison for all processes set ups and report any deviations to the parameters (work/operator instructions) to your supervisor.
- Coordinate and assure the flow of material within the department and from department to department. To Assure Quality of the product being produced and packed for shipment.
- Follow Production Shipping Schedules and pack product according to those schedules.
- Assures material is stocked at each operation to maintain a smooth process flow.
- Conduct on job training of operators and ensure they follow the work/operator instruction and understand the defect criteria’s.
- Coach existing employees, by monitoring team members in the course of their work and ensure that they comply with the standards of operations.
- Perform minor equipment and tooling maintenance, report these issues to the supervisor.
- Escalate production issues to your supervisor and/or Production Manager as needed.
- Maintain good housekeeping and a safe work environment at all times.
- Work necessary overtime to assure the department is ready to begin producing quality product on time and that all schedules are met.
- Reports daily on area performance measures.
-Maintain a 98% attendance record.
