What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mainframe Systems Programmer (z/OS) position at Current Openings?
A NYC agency located in Manhattan, NY is looking for 2 Mainframe System Programmers for a long-term contract.
Experience / Preferred Qualifications :
- Must have Bachelor's degree or 10 years of experience in relevant technical field.
- The candidate must have experience with VTAM and TCP / IP.
- 10 years of experience working with z / OS, JES2, SMP / E, TSO, IOCP / HCD. Basic IBM utilities (IDCAMS, IEFBR14, etc.) program product installations, working knowledge or the IBM virtual tape system and Unix System Services.
- Working knowledge of CICS, IMS, DB2 and AFP printing is a plus.
- Experience in using monitoring tools such as OMEGAMON.
- Working with an enterprise wide, large scale implementation.
- Excellent communications skills (Oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills are required.
- The candidate must have experience with mainframe CPU installs as a systems programmer consultant.
