Throughout the Gardner family’s ownership of Superior Trim, we have made, and continue to make, significant investments to ensure that Superior Trim has all of the appropriate technologies in-house and available to produce cost-competitive, high-quality interior and exterior trim products for medium/heavy duty trucks and other commercial vehicles that our customers expect
Superior Trim is looking for an engaged and energetic person who is currently enrolled in a bachelors program focused in business, supply chain, logistics, or related major, and is currently in their junior or senior year.
Working with the Supply Chain team, the intern will gain experience in real world ordering and supplier management practices. This internship will cover the practices and procedures of materials from vendor to customer.
Responsibilities:
- Assignments will include experience in procurement, logistics, production planning and supply chain analytics
- Intern will learn fundamental business processes including; plant procurement, freight tendering, data analysis, inventory tracking, production order management, etc
- Responsible for providing updates, escalating issues and making improvement recommendations to management
- Assignments and duties are driven by business needs in all areas of supply chain and will vary given business needs
- Buying and Expediting
- Invoice Resolution (root cause analysis)
- Market Intelligence for Sourcing events
- Master Data Analysis
- Material Inventory Tracking
- Procurement and Business Process Reviews
- Transportation Spend Data Analysis
- Create and maintain key Supply Chain KPI’s including: inventory, service, forecast accuracy, etc.
- Participate in smaller projects to improve Supply Chain processes
- Maintain and create manufacturing production schedules for production facilities
- Perform ad hoc supply chain analyses
