What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Process Engineer position at Current Opportunities?
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the selection and development of process technologies for the manufacture of orthodontic products
- Work with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Product Engineering, Regulatory, and Supply Chain personnel to resolve production and quality issues; use appropriate techniques to solve problems and develop efficient and sustainable manufacturing practices
- Conduct process capability studies and develop process controls as needed
- Contribute to appropriate risk management activities related to the manufacturing of medical devices
- Contribute to successful product development project completion by participating in process development and documentation activities
- Manage process optimization projects
- Conduct formal root cause analyses and corrective actions on quality concerns, process, safety, and environmental issues
- Develop project justifications and capacity analysis
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives
Qualifications:
- BS Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Materials Engineering
- Strong ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated ability to manage time and project schedules
- Demonstrated data-driven problem-solving ability
- 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Understanding of DOE, SPC, and industrial statistics is desired
