What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Development Upholsterer position at Current Opportunities?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop samples as well as production pieces with high attention to detail
- Produce high quality samples, built on time, using the best construction methods
- Make improvement accommodations for current upholstery
- Must be able to upholster, trim, complete skirt detail, and develop poly patterns
- Assist in documenting spec sheets for parts and materials (springs, webbing, poly, etc.)
- Generate products and services from inception to commercialization for customers
- Work closely with manager to develop prototypes for products.

- Must be able to read details or CAD drawings.
- Train associates on how to build new styles when going into production.
- Ability to follow documented procedures and standards

Physical demands and abilities
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, reaching
- Able to lift 70 pounds, occasionally
- Available to work weekends or overtime as needed
- Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
