Lower School Homeroom Teacher

Description

Currey Ingram Academy is currently accepting applications for a homeroom teaching position in Primary (K-1) or fourth grade to begin in January 2025. Teaching responsibilities will include both small-group (3-5 students) and whole class (7-9 students) instruction in the areas of language arts (reading, spelling and written language), math, social studies, science and handwriting. In addition, embedded social coaching and executive function support is expected to occur throughout the day.

Qualifications

Excellent communication in both oral and written expression and experience with technology are required. Minimum requirements include a degree in special education, elementary education or a related field, with preference given to those with at least five years of experience and/or experience in teaching students with learning differences.
