Description
Currey Ingram Academy is seeking a dynamic and experienced educator for a part-time 1:1 instructional faculty position in our Middle School for the 2025-2026 school year. This unique role supports a highly capable student in an independent study-type setting, with a focus on math instruction and incorporating science and social studies content when applicable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily 1:1 instruction for a Middle School student in a personalized learning environment.
- Plan, develop, and implement curriculum for math that is responsive to the student’s academic profile.
- Design and facilitate engaging extension activities in science and social studies.
- Adapt instructional strategies to meet the needs of a gifted and/or twice-exceptional learner.
- Collaborate regularly with Middle School administration to align goals, strategies, and student support.
- Track and communicate academic progress through regular updates and documentation.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Required: Degree in Gifted Education
- Preferred: Degree in Special Education and/or Twice Exceptional specialization
- Demonstrated experience working with gifted and talented or twice-exceptional students.
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction, student-centered learning, and executive functioning strategies.
- Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with students in a one-on-one setting.
- Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.
