POSITION TITLE: Exceptional Children's Pre-Kindergarten Teacher Assistant
SITE: Moyock Elementary School
REPORTS TO: Principal, EC Director, PreK Director
STARTING DATE: Immediate
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED:
- Associates or Higher in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Credentials
- Commitment to high achievement for all students
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive role model both professionally and personally
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Ability to work cooperatively and constructively with others
- Assist Classroom Teacher as requested
- Ability/willingness to work a daily schedule focused on student’s personal and academic needs
- Ability to handle a fast-paced, intense work environment
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills with broad and diverse audiences
- Behave as a positive role model both professionally and personally
- Maintain classroom surroundings to enhance the learning environment
- Work towards meeting academic, social, emotional, and health and physical needs of students
