What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Representative - Water Quality (some college preferred) position at Curro Environmental?

This entry level field position fits at the foundation of a business ecosphere whose purpose is devoted to being upright stewards of our irreplaceable environmental resources. Work will consist of high quality collection and shipment of drinking water samples for laboratory analysis. Emphasis will be on TCEQ compliance.
Technical Duties
Meet deadlines given by others
Navigate using GPS equipment
Daily route driving via company vehicle (East Texas and North Texas area)
May include periodic overnight stays (once or twice a year)
Year-round outdoor work in seasonal weather conditions
Intense attention to detail
Accurate record keeping
Location accuracy emphasis
Basic water quality measurements performed onsite using field instrumentation
Handle and dispense preservation and dechlorination chemicals
An understanding of proper sampling protocol in regards to collection, preservation, hold time, and shipment of samples
Drinking water sample collection
Collection and transfer of sample data using field tablet system
Daily Stat Reporting
Routine calibration of field instruments
Weekly Field Document Reporting
Perform other duties assigned by office leadership
Requirements
Must adhere to Health Safety Plan, SOPs, DWSG, and MSDS reference
Must wear provided PPE
Must be able to work without direct supervision, maintaining workplace integrity while completing all required duties
Must earn and maintain TCEQ Drinking Water Operator license
Must complete initial OSHA HAZWOPER training and yearly refresher course
Must earn and maintain TCEQ sampling authorization (yearly training required)
Must have basic computer and tablet comprehension
Must be able to lift over 50 lbs
Drug/Alcohol screening and a Background check are required

Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Drivers license with clean driving record
Excellent customer service skills
Route Driving Experience, Analytical Laboratory Experience, or TCEQ Water Operator Experience a plus
