Customer Service :

Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Answer customer inquiries regarding services, prices, and delivery times.
Assist customers in drop-off and pick-up of garments and other items.
Ensure accurate processing of orders by checking labels, instructions, and special requests.
Handle complaints or issues in a courteous and efficient manner.

Order Management :

Record incoming garments and maintain accurate logs.

Sort clothing based on type, fabric, and required services (e.g., dry cleaning, laundering, pressing).

Attach proper tags or labels to each item for easy identification.

Assist in organizing garments for pick-up, ensuring orders are ready on time.

Processing Payments :

Operate the cash register and process payments (cash, credit / debit cards).

Provide customers with receipts and maintain proper cash handling procedures.

Keep track of transactions and ensure the accurate calculation of charges.

Laundry Assistance :

Assist in sorting, folding, and packaging clean garments when necessary.

Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the counter area and storage spaces.

Keep track of inventory for supplies, such as garment bags, tags, and cleaning chemicals.

Other Duties :

Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the shop, including cleaning the front area and customer-facing spaces.

Help with occasional stocking or organizing of supplies.

Support dry cleaning staff with non-technical tasks as required.

Qualifications :

Skills / Experience : Good communication and customer service skills, basic math for handling transactions, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements : Ability to stand for extended periods, occasional lifting of garments or small boxes, and some light physical work.

Education : High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

The Dry Cleaner Presser is responsible for pressing, finishing, and preparing garments to ensure they are cleaned and presented to customers in a neat, wrinkle-free manner. The role requires the operation of pressing machines and steamers, as well as attention to detail to meet quality standards and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :

Pressing Garments : Use pressing machines or hand irons to press clothing items such as shirts, pants, suits, dresses, and coats to remove wrinkles and restore the garment to its original shape.

Quality Control : Inspect garments for stains, damage, or imperfections before pressing, and communicate any issues to supervisors or management.

Steam and Ironing : Apply appropriate steam, heat, and pressure based on fabric type to ensure the highest quality finish for each garment.

Sorting and Organizing : Sort garments by type, fabric, or customer to ensure proper processing and care.

Customer Satisfaction : Ensure garments are pressed to meet customer specifications and expectations for quality and appearance.

Equipment Maintenance : Maintain and clean pressing equipment regularly to ensure smooth operation and longevity.

Working Conditions :

Generally, the counter helper / Dry Cleaner / Presser works during business hours, including weekends. Hours may vary.
