THIS ROLE:
Under general supervision, the Cook / House Manager will be responsible for cooking, clean-up and general grocery/supply purchasing and maintaining of food and other supplies for a remote employee project-based home.
*This is an estimated 6-month temporary role with the potential of transitioning to a permanent position depending on scheduling and traveling requirements.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Cooking
• Making meals for the residents that reside in the housing (two meals per day). Making meals that are accommodating to the residents’ dietary restrictions and health needs. Requires quality, homemade meals.
Shopping
• Buying supplies for any of the residents or housing needs. This includes hygiene products (soap, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.), cleaning products (paper towels, cleaner spray, sponges, etc.), and groceries (food and drink products both as snacks and raw product to cook with).
Stocking & Organization
• Organization of any products that are bought for the residence
• Putting cleaning supplies in their own area
• Washing, drying, and putting away dishes
• Putting away groceries
• Keeping things organized while also making sure that supplies are still easily accessible to the residents of the quarters
Cleaning
• Ensure sanitary workspace for prep and cooking of meals
• Full clean-up of kitchen after meals
• Making sure surfaces are clean and sanitized
• Washing, drying, and putting away dishes
• Light housekeeping
WHO YOU ARE:
Requirements
• 3-5 years of cooking experience
• Must be organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task, prioritize workloads, and work in a fast- paced environment
• Be able to communicate effectively; expected to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, personnel, subcontractors, outside agencies, etc.
• Ability to work effectively and professionally while participating in a team environment
• Good communication ability
