Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, the FP&A Manager will oversee financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis. The ideal candidate will provide financial insights to drive business decisions, optimize costs, and support overall company growth. This role requires strong financial modeling skills, business acumen, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively. Additionally, this role will focus on working with accounting to develop and refine processes to enhance financial reporting and decision-making. The candidate should have experience working closely with internal customers to create ad hoc financial products, ensuring that processes are structured to capture and report critical financial data accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Lead the company’s budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
- Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure financial alignment with business objectives
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations for senior leadership.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards for performance monitoring.
- Provide variance analysis on revenue, expenses, and profitability.
Business Partnering & Decision Support:
- Work closely with business segments to provide financial guidance and strategic recommendations.
- Support investment decisions, capital expenditures, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Assist in pricing strategies, market analysis, and financial risk assessments.
Financial Reporting, Process Design, and Improvement:
- Work closely with accounting to identify, design, and implement improvements to accounting and financial processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Establish structured methodologies for capturing and reporting financial data.
- Work with internal stakeholders to create ad hoc financial products and improve financial reporting systems.
- Collaborate with process improvement teams to automate and enhance financial operations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- Experience: 7 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or a similar role.
Skills:
- Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and QuickBooks Online.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in accounting process development and financial process improvement.
