THIS ROLE:
The Logistics and Inventory Specialist will support the company with all tasks related to receiving, shipping, inventory control and management, shipyard organization and administrative documentation tasks connected to the logistics of the organization. This position requires someone with a strong work ethic, high level of attention to detail, and the ability to be flexible when priorities change. Forklift certification is a must.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Inventory Control – Implement, monitor, and maintain an accurate inventory system for all materials received. Which include vessel, dredge, and yard items related to welding, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, tool crib, hardware/fasteners, HSSE items, oil/lube/hydraulic fluids, and yard mechanic requirements
- Receiving – Recover all packages, sort, inspect, deliver, and document all incoming purchases. Evaluate best practices and space for receiving of packages to storing/delivering where needed
- Heavy Cargo Delivery – Coordinate arriving deliveries and direct them to the appropriate location for unloading or to the responsible party. Offload or load when needed with company equipment/forklift/reachlift
- Shipping – Dispatch all materials and/or equipment in a timely manner to different locations where assets/projects are located. Track and monitor shipment progress/delivery. Domestic and internationally
- Administrative – Liaise directly with accounting and purchasing departments to ensure all purchases are accounted for, reconciled, and shipping data is recorded as needed
- Customer Service – Always maintain professional customer service with vendors and company team members
WHO YOU ARE:
Certifications and Other Requirements
- 3-5 years inventory management/shipping/receiving, logistics experience required
- Experience in shipping (domestic & internationally)
- Forklift Certification required
- Must have a valid driver license and clean driving record (7 years)
- Must be able to obtain a TWIC Card (company reimburses once hired)
- Must be able to obtain a US Passport

- Must be able to pass a USCG physical and drug test (will be enrolled in Company’s random drug testing program)
