Schedule: Full-time, overtime and weekends as needed

THIS ROLE:
The Parts Runner will work directly with the Site Administrator(s) on supporting the overall shoreside operations for dredging/construction projects. Parts Runner will be responsible for working directly with the dredging team on site to efficiently manage the purchasing and delivery process of all approved parts, equipment, and consumables. This role is expected to be a motivated individual who can prioritize tasks independently and execute them in a timely manner. This is an essential role in a fast-paced environment that requires thinking quickly and effectively while maintaining a positive attitude. The Parts Runner will always follow safe work practices and be responsible for helping everyone learn and maintain the Curtin Standard.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Purchase approved parts, equipment, and consumables for vessels and project site
- Research parts for accuracy and price comparisons prior to purchasing
- Develop relationships with local vendors
- Manage shipping and receiving process of all freight and packages related to the project. This includes:
- Identifying and tagging all inbound packages and freight
- Scanning packing slips and emailing them to the Procurement Department for record keeping
- Delivering packages and loading onto crew boat for vessel delivery
- Maintaining a log of all packages and freight received on site
- Shipping all outbound packages from the project site
- Manage inventories of laydown yard and support vessels.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for operating Company owned/leased/rented vehicles
- Maintain company vehicles as needed, such as oil changes, tire rotations, fueling, cleaning, etc.
- Provide transportation to crew as needed
- Record and notate all receipts when using the company provided purchasing card
- Assist the Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager in the office with clerical duties, as needed
- Responsible for general housekeeping of the project site
- May be assigned additional duties in accordance with project needs

- Clean Driving Record

- Physical & DOT Drug Test
- TWIC Card (can be acquired once hired)

Physical Aptitudes
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without restriction. Position involves lifting heavy equipment and objects
- Agility to bend, stoop, or squat, and climb high steps/ladders frequently
- Adequate hearing & vision ability
