THIS ROLE:
We're seeking an experienced Shipyard Project Manager with a proven track record in maritime construction or other shipyard environments. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of project management experience, strong leadership skills, and a bachelors degree in Maritime Engineering or a related field. Possession of a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and relevant maritime safety certifications is a plus. The role requires adeptness in both intellectual aspects, such as communication and problem-solving, and physical aptitudes like working in outdoor environments and operating heavy machinery.
WHAT YOULL DO:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in shipyard or maritime construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of tug and barge services, marine dredging, and capital build projects.
- Familiarity with maritime regulations and safety protocols.
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external clients.
- Problem-solving ability and adaptability to dynamic project requirements.
- Leadership skills to motivate and guide project teams toward successful project completion.
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
WHO YOU ARE:

Physical Aptitudes
- Ability to work in an outdoor shipyard environment, exposed to varying weather conditions.
- Physical strength and agility to climb ladders, stairs, and navigate uneven surfaces frequently.
- Capability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 40 lbs. without restrictions.
- Comfort working in confined spaces for extended periods.
- Maintaining balance and equilibrium while performing duties at various heights.
- Adequate hearing and vision ability for situational awareness and safety.
- Tolerance for exposure to elements such as grease, dirt, paint, and water.
- Operating heavy equipment and machinery as needed for project requirements.
- Regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with safety regulations.
- Ability to acquire and maintain a TWIC and valid Drivers License.
