**Company Overview**
Curtis Food Recruiters is a family-owned food production company seeking an experienced leader to oversee its commissary operations.
This is a daytime, weekday-only role requiring no nights or weekends. The successful candidate will lead daily food production operations at an FDA-compliant facility producing fresh, never-frozen meals.
The Director of Food Production Operations will manage procurement and supplier relationships, handle order guides, product selection, and cost control. They will also ensure food safety compliance, maintain FDA logs, sanitation protocols, and regulatory standards.
Taking ownership of financial performance and P&L, the candidate will ensure accurate costing, pricing, and operational efficiency. They will support menu development and large-batch meal planning, aligning with operational capacity and production goals.
Collaborating with catering operations, the Director will ensure seamless execution of scheduled events. They will monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify opportunities for process or facility improvements.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in food production, catering management, or commissary operations
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a food production environment
- Familiarity with FDA compliance, sanitation standards, and operational best practices
- Experience with large-batch food production, menu planning, and procurement
- Accounting background or cost accounting experience preferred, understanding of financials and cost control is a plus
