The General Manager serves as a collaborative key business partner in leading dealership operations and team performance for overall profitability and success. This entails leading, managing and overseeing staff, operations, customer relations and financial accountability, maintaining a high level of employee engagement, retention and following best practices to assure satisfactory employee performance outcomes as well as expected customer satisfaction, monitoring key performance indicators, setting and adjusting initiatives that meet strategic plans, and continuously reviewing and adjusting systems and processes that support strong customer focus, troubleshooting concerns, identifying opportunities and providing team-oriented solutions that meet business needs.
The importance of this role is to be the “face” of Curtis Lane Equipment and its products/services and must effectively lead and collaborate with the team, build customer and employee loyalty, liaise cross functionally with business partners and vendors to convey satisfactory customer service at all times, abiding by the Company's three (3) core values of Honesty, People and Growth, exhibiting a people focus perspective and genuine care and pride in our organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Leads, coaches, teaches and mentors team for continuous performance improvement of the dealership.
· Researches, recommends and implements best practices supporting development of market share, customer loyalty and satisfaction.
· Engages team in meeting strategic plan expectations and holds ultimate accountability for the dealership in maintaining successful financial outcomes as well as other key performance indicator metrics.
· Leads and collaborates with team in achieving and maintaining alignment with strategic plan, mission, goals and values.
· Prioritizes and delegates in order to meet business needs and to support team growth and contribution to dealership success.
· Communicates clear expectations, monitors progress ongoing and provides continuous updates to team and other leaders.
· Maintains compliance with Company standards, policies and procedures as well as state and federal regulations; assures regular audits are performed to address potential liabilities; recommends and implements solutions.
· Fully accountable for financial income statement performance
· Performs various other duties and responsibilities necessary to achieve overall dealership and Company success.

· Must possess valid driver's license with clear driving record as necessary
· College degree strongly preferred
· Minimum 2 years' experience in leadership role in retail environment; dealership experience strongly preferred
Physical/Sensory Needs:
May lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lbs at a time frequently, using assistance as needed. Requires walking, climbing stairs/ladders, bending, crouching, crawling, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, using required safety measures. Uses keyboards, monitors, and computers, phones, copy machines and other business equipment as well as tools/machinery requiring vision, listening, mathematical aptitude also hand/eye coordination and finger hand dexterity as well as use of legs, feet, arms, hands, fingers in operating machinery. Driving vehicles may be required at times. Must be able to work indoors, standing for up to 100% of work schedule and may also require outdoors in varying weather conditions up to 30% of work schedule.
