Curtis Power Solutions, a subsidiary of Indel Power Group, has an opening for an experienced Power Generation Foreman at our location in Syracuse, New York. This individual should have years of previous experience as a technician. Indel Power Group is a distributor/dealer for major brands such as mtu, Daimler/Mercedes, Perkins, PSI Engines, Detroit Diesel, Kohler, Cummins, Caterpillar, and Volvo Penta. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the growth and advancement of technicians, while maintaining and improving shop morale
- Communicate job expectations to technicians and hold them accountable to the efficiency and quality goals established and ensure that appropriate service applications are used during every repair
- Perform skilled tasks in the diagnosis of malfunctions, repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls
- Commitment to safety and cleanliness
- Maintain open communication with management team regarding job status, updates, and changes
- Use low and high voltage load banks for testing and repair of generator sets
- Determine corrective action through inspection of failed parts
- Order replacement parts and services in efficient and effective manner
- Perform electrical and mechanical repairs to the engine, generator, or components
- Perform startup and commissioning on large genset units with automatic transfer switches

Physical Requirements
Technician roles are physically demanding and require prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Occasional heavy lifting and pushing/pulling objects weighing up tp 50 pounds (or more) may be required. While performing the duties of this job, the Technician will frequently use hands to manipulate and grasp objects; reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, stretch, or twist to perform repairs and inspections. Good vision to inspect repair work and effective communication are essential. Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present. A technician may work in areas with temperature and/or humidity extremes.
