Commodity Manager – Raw Materials/Castings/Forgings/Hardware
As the Commodity Manager – Raw Materials/Castings/Forgings/Hardware, you are responsible for working across the divisions, collaborating with our existing supply chain organizations, to secure commodities in a timely, value- added manner, assuring quality, delivery and cost in accordance with company requirements. This commodity group will include but not limited to raw materials/castings/forgings and hardware such as fasteners, bearings and sealing products.

Your Challenge
- Create, manage and implement strategic direction for key commodities
- Lead cost reduction efforts concentrating on Value Improvements and Total Cost of Ownership
- Support the negotiation of contracts with favorable impact on quality, continuity of supply, purchase price and commercial terms.
- Strive for supplier consolidation, thereby increasing leverage/partnership structures with key suppliers.
- Provide sourcing support in new design /new product concept stage of large contracts
- Assist with supplier risk management
- Key contributor to the escalation process for major quality and performance issues.
- Intercompany liaison
- Locate and develop suppliers domestically, intercompany and in low-cost regions; engage suppliers in projects to improve quality, delivery, pricing and terms
- Drive continuous improvement, best practices, standardized KPIs, and administration of major RFP’s, auctions, and web purchases.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration or equivalent
- 5 years experience in procurement, supply chain management
- Deep understanding of the raw materials and hardware markets
- Ability to build and maintain relationships across departments and with external suppliers
- Understands cost analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Power BI and excel is an asset
- Ability to analyze market trends, pricing data, and supplier performance
