We are looking for a Junior Nondestructive (NDE) Examination Engineer- to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location!

Curtiss-Wright EMD is searching for Nondestructive Examination Engineers to support its Quality Team in the design and manufacture of EMD’s highly engineered products. Your Challenge
- Drive the planning, implementation, and maintenance of Non-destructive examination procedures and testing, to facilitate and oversee the quality program regarding Non-destructive examination scope
- Generate and maintain internal employee certification and qualification reports for Operations and Inspection personnel
- Participate in on-the-job and classroom NDE training for Operations and Inspection personnel
- Perform routine NDE oversight and guidance
- Participate and review internal control processes such as:
- Certified Material Test Report reviews
- Procedure reviews
- Requirements flow down
- Quality inspection plans.
- Participate in root cause analysis to implement corrective actions as needed
- Identify potential project or supplier quality issues
- Assist in the translation of customer or regulatory requirements into organizational instructions
- Participate in external, internal, process and supplier audits.
What You Bring
- BS in Engineering or related technical or science degree
- Must be sole US Sole Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
- Must be willing obtain Level III/Examiner certifications in MT, PT, RT, UT and VT
- Organizational, verbal and written skills
- Self-starter, capable of working independently to drive actions to completion.
- Ability to work in multiple team environments while providing technical input
- 1-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- BS in Materials Engineering preferred
- Working knowledge of ASME B&PV Code, NAVSEA-250-1500-1, Tech Pub 271/278
- ASNT SNT-TC-1A Level II or NAVSEA-250-1500-1 Inspector in NDE methods of MT, PT, RT, UT and/or VT an asset
- Past experience with training employees in a manufacturing setting
