This position is a union position and will be assigned to one of three shifts. Training for this position will happen during the first/daylight shift.
CNC machining experience is preferred, and programming is a plus.
Experience machining ferrous and non-ferrous materials is required.
The following machine operations are a plus:
- All types of machining equipment including manual and CNC skills
- Horizontal Boring Mills (both CNC and manual)
- Large Vertical Boring Mills (both CNC and manual)
- Large Turning -Vertical or Horizontal Lathes (both CNC and manual)
- Multi-axis milling and turning equipment
- Manual and CNC grinding experience
Requirements:
- High school graduate plus completion of a four-year machinist apprenticeship or equivalent
- Sole US citizen able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
