Key Responsibilities
As a Process Improvement Engineer - Welding Operations, your key responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating top problematic weld joints at EMD and resolving issues through design, manufacturing, and implementation of improved weld fixtures/tooling.
- Working directly with welder and Weld Lab Technicians to understand the problem and what can be done prevent recurrence.
- Understanding and working with Manufacturing Engineers to improve manufacturing steps before, during, and after welding operations to mitigate processing issues that negatively affect welding.
You will also be responsible for creating drawings for procedural qualification, personnel qualifications, and mockups, as well as supervising and prioritizing assignments for AWSE Development Lab technician staff.
