Materials Planner
The Materials Planner is responsible for managing and optimizing the end-to-end material planning process within the Supply Chain to ensure the on-time availability of raw materials and finished goods for contract and non-contract material at a single site. This role works within the Procurement organization and works directly with Engineering to ensure material is proactively planned, ordered, received, stored, and issued to the manufacturing line to support the manufacturing need date, master schedule attainment, and customer on-time delivery. The Materials Planner plays a vital role in ensuring timely delivery of products to customers.

Your Challenge:
- Responsible for scheduling and coordinating timely deliveries of purchased components by releasing orders generated by the MRP/Buyers/Supplier Schedules to the suppliers.
- Provide support to Engineering and the manufacturing floor by creating, scheduling and managing orders generated by spreadsheets and the MRP.
- Schedule and coordinate the flow of material within or between departments in manufacturing and Engineering to expedite production and material flow.
- Plan and allocate materials based on prescribed methodology and provide timely delivery to customers.
- Ensure that materials, supplies and services are provided by supplier in support of internal and external customer requirements.
- May assist with purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning, and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner. This may include the processing of purchase requisitions, purchase change orders, and requests for quotes to suppliers.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- 3 years of Materials, Planning, or Inventory experience.
- Strong knowledge of MRPs and ERPs. Experience with Syteline ERP preferred.
- Understanding of Supply Chain Management operations concept surrounding production planning, inventory control, purchasing, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet competing deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Must be comfortable working with large data sets to make decisions.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge in Quality Assurance, Standard Operating Procedures preferred.
