The individual hired for this position will be required to use Autodesk Revit to create, manage, and
maintain Building Information Models for use in design, coordination, and construction. The
responsibilities for the BIM Modeler / BIM Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

responsibilities for the BIM Modeler / BIM Coordinator include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the BIM Management Team – implement and coordinate company BIM
standards (or client specific BIM standards) with the project team. Ensure that the project
team is adhering to the standards via model monitoring throughout the duration of the
project. Ensure that BIM Execution Plans are developed, understood, and followed
throughout the project. Develop, support, and reinforce the interface between design tools
and project workflows. - Creating BIM Models – accurately produce highly detailed 3D data driven models that
capture design intent. These models will be used for construction documentation as well as
data extraction throughout the life cycle of the project. Producing these models include the
creation of complex families and the attachment of associated information to all modeled
elements. Have the foresight and understanding of industry trends that push design models
as deliverables. - Regularly Maintaining Model Health – ensure that models are in good working order and all
errors and issues have been resolved, mitigated, or documented as a non-issue. - Supporting Project Teams – provide needed documentation support for design teams,
provide QC oversight, and troubleshoot BIM related issues discovered in the design model
and / or software. Demonstrate best practices and industry standards for model creation
and software use. - Problem Solving – if design problems arise, present them to the design team with possible
solutions. Take an active role in the design process by communicating ideas and asking
questions. - Coordinating Design Models – ensure that all modeled elements are coordinated for each
discipline within the design models. This will be done via clash detection using Navisworks
and / or Interference Check, and with design team collaboration meetings. - Interfacing with Design Partners – be the BIM point of contact for clients and design
partners for projects. Ensure that these entities have all BIM-related information needed to
make design decisions in a timely manner. Provide additional BIM related information and
education as required to support holistic BIM projects. - Software Enhancement – when necessary, extend the functionality of Autodesk Revit by
creating supplemental Python scripts and programs (via the pyRevit plugin) that have
specific use cases for project needs or company standardization. - Continually Promote BIM – maintain knowledge and awareness of the latest industry BIM
standards and disseminate this information to executive leadership, senior management,
seasoned design professionals, new hires, and clientele. Mentor and guide project
stakeholders in all things BIM.
*The majority of the time, a person in this role will be sitting in an office with limited physical requirements. This may require individuals to bend, stretch, twist, and reach. On occasion, individuals will be required to visit a client site to perform site verifications and field surveys.
Your pay
The salary for this position is based on the location/s posted. If you are a candidate living outside of (this region/these regions), we still encourage you to apply as salary ranges may differ across states/cities/job markets.
- Expected Range*: $50,000 to $65,000 annually
- The position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus
*The actual salary offered for the role will be determined based on various factors including but not limited to; years of experience, licensure status, location, level of job-related knowledge, and other job-related factors (as permitted by law).
