Cust-O-Fab, a leader in the design and manufacturing of shell and tube heat exchangers, vessels, towers, and other heat transfer components, in the petrochemical industry for over 40 years is currently seeking a Safety Coordinator in our Beaumont, Texas location. Position Summary:
The Safety Coordinator is responsible for Cust-O-Fab, LLC compliance with government regulations and industry standards. This person communicates a positive safety culture through course of action and will help coordinate day to day activities and programs.
- Assists HR with the onboarding process and conducts new employee orientations
- Ensure COF safety Policies and Procedures are being followed
- Help ensure OSHA, EPA compliance
- Conduct Work Observations, Hazard Assessments, Workplace inspections
- Participate in Weekly Tailgate meetings and Monthly Safety Committee Meetings
- Participate in the VPP process and obtain the SGE designation to assist in audits as applicable
- Be able to review and interpret policies and procedures
- Assist in conducting emergency drills and plans
- Review and approve work permits
- Work closely with front line supervision
- Assist with training needs
The best candidates will possess the following qualifications:
- OSHA 30 hour General and or construction outreach training preferred
- High level of confidentiality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Broad Knowledge of regulatory and industry best practice requirements
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and effective safety precautions of all trades
- Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to establish and maintain productive relationships at all organizational levels.
