JOB DESCRIPTION:
This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of both office and manufacturing plant environments. You will perform a combination of light repairs and routine cleaning to ensure that both areas remain tidy, safe, and operational. Daily custodial duties include sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors, dusting, cleaning fixtures, and emptying trash bins. Additionally, you will clean restrooms and other public spaces.
To succeed in this role, you should be reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented. The job requires physical stamina and manual dexterity to handle the variety of tasks involved, including light maintenance duties in both office and industrial areas.
DUTIES:
Cleaning Duties:
· Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors in office and manufacturing areas.
· Clean glass, windows, and restrooms (including restocking dispensers, sanitizing fixtures, and mopping).
· Clean and sanitize toilets, urinals, mirrors, partition doors, and walls in both office and manufacturing restrooms.
· Empty trash and replace liners throughout the facility, including office spaces and manufacturing areas.
· Thoroughly clean and maintain cafeteria and break areas.
· Ensure cleanliness of manufacturing areas and shared spaces.
Maintenance Duties:
· Perform basic exterior maintenance, such as cleaning entrance and sidewalk areas.
· Set up, stock, and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies to ensure all tools and materials are readily available for daily tasks.
· Monitor sanitation and organization of assigned areas.
· Provide additional support for general maintenance tasks (light repairs, etc.) in both office and manufacturing environments.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
· Ability to be on your feet or sit for extended periods.
· Knowledge of and experience with proper chemical and cleaning methods, and familiarity with various cleaning supplies and tools for commercial settings.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Ability to safely use a ladder and perform tasks in overhead spaces.
· Proven experience in commercial cleaning and basic building maintenance.
· Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems is desirable.
· Experience with hand and power tools is a plus.
