Job Title: Production Support (Water Spider)
Job Description:
The Water Spider will be responsible for supporting production operations by ensuring efficient movement of materials, supplies, tools and resources and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Responsible for keeping workstations fully stocked with materials to ensure continuous productivity and on-time delivery. This position requires excellent communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Delivers supplies to and from departments to ensure they are running to their optimal efficiency.
· Responsible for CNC machine chip recycling/management for the department. Maintains machine coolant levels.
· Responsible for keeping inventory of manufacturing consumables, identifying shortages, and placing order requests.
· Coordinates with all departments to ensure smooth product transitions and eliminate downtime, waste, and rework.
· Helps departments as needed according to skill ability.
· Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary work area.
· Will be trained to own the process of tooling, tool setting and offsetting, setting work offsets.
· Will be trained on basic inspection using measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers deltronic pins etc.
· Good communication skills are a must. This position requires working with other team members in up- and down-stream operations, programming, quality control, and engineering.
· Must be capable to perform basic machine maintenance, clean machines and work areas daily during production run time.
· Organizes and maintains tool room and associated areas.
· Assists in the development of procedures to improve processes and supports 5S activities within the facility to maintain a productive work environment.
Required Skills:
· 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
· Knowledge of daily maintenance of CNC equipment; coolant and chip management
· Must be able to stand all day, and lift up to 50lbs.
· High School Diploma or GED
