Job Description :
Work under the supervision of the Electrical Lead to assist in the production of custom equipment in the HVAC-R markets. Help electricians by performing duties requiring less skill. Duties include using, supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work area and equipment.
Job Duties :
- Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools.
- Clean work area.
- Basic skills of using test meter.
- Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections, using hand tools.
- Construct controllers and panels, using power drills, drill presses, taps, saws and punches.
- Drill holes and pull or push wiring through openings, using hand and power tools.
- Thread conduit ends and connect couplings and conduit fittings using wrench.
- Secure brackets to bulkheads with screws and bolts and pull wires through conduit leading to connection boxes, switch panels, and other terminals.
- Use tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, knives, hacksaws, and wire strippers.
- Install and wire motors, transformers and electronic controllers.
- Transport tools, materials, equipment, and supplies to work site.
