Custom Business Solutions, a Michigan-based talent agency, is seeking an experienced iSeries Developer for a hybrid workplace opportunity in Chicago, Illinois. Qualified candidates submitting an application will be considered for this direct-hire opportunity.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILL SET:
- Strong experience with delivery of complex systems (gathering, designing, building, testing, deploying)
- Expertise in environments relevant to iSeries (RPG, CL, SQL, COBOL, and Java)
- Exposure to P&C insurance principles
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support applications through design, development, and maintenance of iSeries code
- Gather and analyze requirements, create functional specifications, and collaborate cross-functionally
- Conduct code reviews, perform unit testing, troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance, and coordinate with development team members on development and QA tasks
