What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cabinet shop help position at Custom Cabinet Works?
Position: Cabinet Shop help will train
Location: Canton, 15 minutes from West Asheville
Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
We are promoting and expanding so we need more shop help. Willing to train
Responsibilities:
- Cabinet Making: Learn how to use our sliding table saw, automatic edgebander and CNC panel processing equipment
- Cabinet Final Assembly: Complete final assembly of cabinets ensuring quality and precision.
- Drawer Front and Door Installation: Install drawer fronts and doors with attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Punctuality and Reliability: Be punctual, reliable, and accountable for assigned tasks.
- Tape Measure Knowledge: Familiarity with inches, fractions of inches 1/2s, 1/4s, 1/8s, 1/16s, and ability to learn millimeters.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a keen attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Math Proficiency: Proficient in imperial and metric measurements, converting fractions including 1/2s, 1/4s, 1/8s and 1/16s to decimals and vice versa.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Take an open book test to gauge math problem-solving skills.
- Physical Ability: Capable of lifting 60 pounds.
