We are seeking self-motivated, energetic, detail oriented, highly organized, tech-savvy Registered Nurses to join our Workers’ Compensation Field Case Management team. We offer a competitive salary with bonus based on experience and is negotiable.
DESCRIPTION:
Field registered nurse case manager needed to assist in coordinating care and safe return to work. Hybrid at Home and Field Work- Travel to appointments- Northwest Suburbs and Kenosha/Milwaukee WI required while the remainder of work is completed at a home office. RN will be responsible for assessment, planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of injured/disabled individuals involved in the medical case management process. Works as an intermediary between carriers, attorneys, medical care providers, employers and employees to ensure appropriate and cost-effective healthcare services and a medically rehabilitated individual who is ready to return to an optimal level of work and functioning.
REGISTERED NURSE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Local travel to appointments to determine claimant status, treatment plan and timeframes to RTW.
Coordination of rehab plan and assurance of compliance and progress
Communication with all parties to keep everyone abreast of status and progress
Evaluation of process, progress and initiating discussion to rectify any questions, concerns or issues
Collaborating with different disciplines with focus on proper treatment, responses/progress to achieve safe RTW
Documenting and reporting outcomes and events
Researching materials to use for coaching and educating claimants on diagnosis, treatment and comorbidities
EDUCATION
The minimum level of education desired for candidates in this position is an Associate's degree in Nursing or equivalent experience.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Nursing/Registered Nurse is required. CCM preferred.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
Must be a registered nurse. Preferred experience in orthopedics, workers comp, neurosurgery, outpatient surgery, occupational health, home health, UR, QA, medical/ surgical nursing.
Ability to travel within a designated geographic area for in-person case management activities.
Bilingual Spanish preferred.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communications, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to work independently (will work partially from home).
Ability to trouble shoot. Problem solve.
Proficiency with standard corporate software applications, including MS Word and proprietary applications.
Effective computer skills including navigating multiple systems and keyboarding
