Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and organized Dispatcher to join our team here at Custom Coach of New Enland. As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly by coordinating and scheduling driver routes, hotel stays, pre and post trips, and other transportation services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Duties
- Manage and coordinate schedules for drivers, equipment, and other resources.
- Communicate with drivers, customers and operations to ensure efficient trips and excellent customer service.
- Monitor and track drivers, and provide regular updates.
- Resolve issues and address concerns related to transportation services, driver concerns and hotels.
- Problem solving when issues arise such as delays, accidents or breakdowns to keep operations moving smoothly.
- Data entry for all bookings and hotel reservations.
- Familiar with New England is a Plus.
Experience
- Proven experience in dispatching or a related field within logistics or supply chain management is preferred.
- Familiarity with Oracle Transportation Management or similar software is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of fleet management practices and transportation planning principles.
- Ability to analyze data effectively to make informed decisions regarding dispatch operations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or GED
- CDL is a plus
- 1-2 years Experience or willing to learn
