JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The Field Representative plays a crucial role in overseeing various aspects of construction projects related to concrete work and foundations. This role involves a combination of technical knowledge, project management skills, and on-site supervision. Here are the key responsibilities and duties associated with this position:
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning and Scheduling: Collaborate with Account Managers and operations to assist/support project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Ensure that all construction activities related to concrete and foundations are properly scheduled and coordinated.
2. Site Inspection: Regularly visit construction sites to inspect the progress of concrete and foundation work. Ensure that work is being carried out in accordance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
3. Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that concrete pouring, curing, and foundation construction meet industry standards and client expectations.
4. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations on the construction site to minimize accidents and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel. Conduct safety inspections and audits.
5. Problem Solving: Address any issues or challenges that arise during construction, such as unexpected site conditions, design changes, or material shortages. Propose and implement solutions to keep the project on track.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate project records, including process logs, inspection reports, change orders, jobsite photographs, and project documentation. Keep stakeholders informed about project progress and issues.
7. Communication: Act as a liaison between the construction site and the company's management, clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. Provide regular updates and reports on project status.
8. Technical Expertise: Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and new construction technologies related to concrete and foundations. Apply this knowledge to improve construction processes and outcomes.
9. Environmental Considerations: Address environmental concerns related to construction activities, such as erosion control and proper disposal of construction waste.
10. Client Satisfaction: Work closely with clients to address their concerns and ensure their satisfaction with the quality of work and project progress.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Relevant work experience in construction project management, typically ranging from 5 to 10 years, depending on the project's scope and complexity.
- Prior experience working in various roles within the construction industry, such as a construction supervisor, project engineer, or assistant project manager, can be beneficial.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of construction techniques, methods, and materials.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients, subcontractors, and the project team.
- Problem-solving skills to address issues that may arise during construction.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Certifications:
