What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wall Crew Member position at Custom Concrete Company Inc?
Custom Concrete is looking for hard working, dedicated people to join our team as a wall crew member in our residential foundations division. Wall crew members are responsible for tasks incidental to the construction of foundation walls. The position may operate a variety of hand and power tools and may clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, clean up rubble and debris, and remove waste materials.
Essential Functions
Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor.
Builds, erects and aligns aluminum concrete forms for various basement wall structures, crawl spaces and other components of residential foundations.
Performs duties of cutting and placing reinforcing rebar
Placing, pouring and rough levelling of concrete
Interprets and reads prints to install beam pockets, brick and slab ledge, and block outs.
Use a hammer or sledgehammer, shovels, and pickaxes for extended periods of time.
Utilizes small hand tools and non-complex power tools and performs minor maintenance as required.
Lift and carry 100 lbs over large distances.
Perform daily tasks in wet and muddy conditions and any type of weather, to include: extreme heat and cold, rain, and snow.
Climb in and out of basement excavations anywhere from 6-10 feet deep using a dirt/mud ramp or dirt/mud stairs, carrying aluminum form panels weighing up to 100lbs.
Climb in and out of box trucks, with or without the assistance of a ramp, carrying aluminum form panels weighing up to 100lbs.
Maintain a clean and safe job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
Performs materials handling and storage.
Loads and unloads trucks and hauls and hoists materials.
