Job Description:
The cabinetry assistant will assist experienced cabinet makers in various aspects of the cabinet making process. This role involves a variety of tasks, from preparing materials to assembling cabinets and installation. This position requires a strong work ethic and very strong attention to detail. You will be required to reliably commute to Butler, MO.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting cabinet makers with the assembly of cabinets and other woodworking projects
- Preparing materials for fabrication, including cutting and sanding
- Operating various woodworking machinery (training provided)
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Loading and unloading materials
- Assisting with installations
- Following safety procedures and guidelines
- Performing other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Some experience in woodworking or construction is preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality is a MUST.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
- Basic math skills
- Reliable transportation
- Experience with specific woodworking machinery, knowledge of different wood types and finishes, and familiarity with cabinet construction techniques is a plus
