Independently setup and operate Mill Turn, CNC Mill and CNC Lathes (Swiss turns will be an advantage) with minimal occasional assistance. Follow supervisor or lead verbal directions. Competent in completing set ups (including 4th axis operations). Able to adjust feed and speed to meet surface finish requirements, adjust tool offsets and/or CDC compensation in order to meet drawing requirements of /-.0005. Able to inspect first piece article, read and understand programs, and execute in-process inspection. Competent in removing worn cutting tools, re-grinding to conform to drawing requirements, and replacing. For internal candidates, a minimum 12 months experience as a Level 2 Operator is required with consistent improvement in performance, and demonstrated proficiency in operating all lathes and mills currently in-house with a good understanding of CCS parts run on those machines.

Key Responsibilities
- Setup and operate multiple machines;
- Checks parts to maintain quality production; previous experience with in-process inspection required
- Assists other team members on tasks as required;
- Performs regular manual tasks;
- Insures that output normally equals or exceeds what is expected as a standard, towards continuous improvement;
- Keeps quality up to acceptable standards with little discrepant work;
- Performs tasks equal to or exceeding established standards;
- Working consistently, working overtime and traveling as required;
- Conducts himself/herself in a business-like and civil manner;
- Ability to react to change productively and perform other essential tasks assigned;
- Applicant must be ITAR compliant.
- Mill Turn and Swiss machine knowledge and experience required;
- Knowledge of various CNC lathe / Mills machining including set-up fundamentals;
- Adequate manual dexterity to safely and proficiently perform pre-setups or set-ups of certain job operations on Mill Turn, Swiss and/ or CNC lathes / mills;
- Must have, or obtain, first piece inspection stamp;
- Able to read and interpret drawings;
- Experience with, or demonstrated understanding of, machining process automation;
- Understands basics of machine shop / material planning;
- Ability to read, write and follow written and verbal instructions in English;
- Ability to work with a number sequence;
- Ability to work well with only a modest amount of repeated instructions;
- Be team oriented and possess flexibility and adaptability
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds;
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time;
- Must be able to do repetitive motion, arms, wrists, elbows and shoulders;
