Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Forklift and Yard Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely maneuvering and operating various types of trucks within the yard, ensuring efficient loading and unloading of materials. This role requires a strong understanding of different truck types, including dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds, while adhering to safety protocols and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maneuver yard trucks, including dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and roll-off trucks.
• Load and unload materials efficiently while ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Conduct routine inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Follow designated routes within the yard for optimal efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements and cargo loads.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate loading and unloading schedules.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while operating equipment.

Experience

• Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with manual transmission vehicles.
• Familiarity with various truck types such as tanker trucks, flatbeds, and roll-off trucks is preferred.
• Experience in route driving and commercial driving is a plus.
• Strong understanding of load unloading procedures and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.75 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
