What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Operator position at Custom Energy Construction?
Oversee, manage, and operate a small NGL Fractionation gas plant.
Some of their responsibilities include:
- Operating equipment: Control process equipment such ascompressors, scrubbers, heaters, condensers, towers, and refrigeration equipment to separate NGL into final end products. * Monitoring equipment: Observe gauges for temperature, level, and flow, and perform regular unit checks * Operate VFDs, adjust heaters, and process conditions to achieve spec product * Diagnosing malfunctions: Diagnose equipment malfunctions and contact maintenance crews when needed * Maintaining equipment: Clean, maintain, and repair equipment, and replace filters, oil, chemicals, and other lubricating fluids * Perform daily reports and standard calculations to determine tanks volumes and product throughput * Manage truck drivers and daily plant operations when on duty * Collaborating: Collaborate with other operators and management to solve plant operation problems
To become a gas plant operator, need a high school or GED diploma, plus on-the-job training. Post-secondary education in process plant technology can improve job opportunities and pay.
