Custom Fabricating & Repair, Inc. (CFR) is offering a great opportunity to join our team! We are currently seeking motivated, safety minded individuals for our Automation Technician position. This job is located in Marshfield, WI and candidates must be willing to relocate to central Wisconsin.

Overview: Our Automation Technicians specialize in the assembly and installation of automation systems for a variety of dairy, food, beverage and pharmaceutical plant equipment and systems. Some of the systems include milk receiving and loadout systems, batching and blending systems, HTST systems, CIP systems, separators, evaporators, dryers and cheese equipment (vats/belts/towers). Typical work week is 4/10 hour days. All potential candidates must be willing to travel. Travel frequency can be up to 30% - 50% on an annual basis. Travel and lodging expenses are arranged and paid for by the company and a daily per diem rate for meals is also included. This position also offers the opportunity for advancement.
Responsibilities: (Not all inclusive and may vary at each level)
1. Wear appropriate PPE for duties being performed and adhere to CFR’s safe work place policies
2. Maintain a clean and orderly workspace
3. Communicate with senior techs and manager to understand your job duties for a given project
4. Utilize necessary tools and equipment to safely perform assigned duties
5. Read and understand schematic drawings
6. Assemble control panels, motor panels and HMI panels
7. Utilize AutoCAD Electrical software to review necessary drawings
8. Setup and calibrate instrumentation
9. Read and understand P&ID’s and process flows
10. Sizing and layout of conduits
11. Installation of automation systems
12. Commissioning and startup of automation systems
13. Assist in quality control inspections
