Overview: Perform a variety of duties to include the preparation, loading, and shipping of foreign and domestic shipments, and the preparation of shipping papers and all other related records. Engage in various activities such as, assembling, checking, crating and weighing, loading and securing of shipments. Responsible for loading and unloading of raw material and finished goods. Furthermore, perform a variety of receiving and material movement duties such as unloading, counting, picking and moving product between various plants and inventory locations.
Responsibilities:
1. Promote an atmosphere of safety and process improvement
2. Responsible for receiving and shipping all material safely and accurately
3. Assist Shipping and Receiving Coordinator in preforming necessary inventory transactions within in inventory management system
4. Assist Shipping Coordinator in building safe and reliable pallets and saddle for shipments
5. Assist Receiving Coordinator in checking in, receiving, and putting away received goods
6. Pick manufacturing pick lists, accurately and efficiently
7. Assist Shipping and Receiving Coordinator in preparing necessary paper work for inbound and outbound loads
8. Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.
· Forklift operation, building and crating experience.
· Understanding of basic shipping and receiving function: picking, packing, palletizing, loading and unloading of trucks.
