Job Responsibilities
🔧 Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on trailers to meet DOT standards
⚙️ Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
🔩 Repair and replace brakes, suspension systems, lights, tires, landing gear, and other components
📋 Conduct DOT inspections and maintain accurate service records
🛠️ Weld and fabricate trailer components as needed
🚛 Work with the operations team to ensure timely repairs and minimize downtime
🔍 Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements
Requirements
✅ Minimum [2] years of experience as a trailer mechanic (DOT experience preferred)
✅ Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and trailer maintenance standards
✅ Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment efficiently
✅ Welding and fabrication skills a plus
✅ Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
✅ Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
✅ Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions
