What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Custom Glass Products?
Direct hire opportunity for a maintenance technician! We are currently seeking skilled technicians on 1st shift. Pay is depending on experience
Position Purpose: To ensure reliable operation of plant equipment and develop methods to upgrade manufacturing process to eliminate waste, reduce cost and improve overall productivity.
General Accountabilities:
- Conduct repairs, maintenance, cleaning and installation of machines to ensure continuous production.
- Maintain a safe work environment for all employees. Follow and enforce good safety practices.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
- Inspect machines and equipment to operate at top peak performance
- General maintenance of building and grounds.
- Confers with management and suppliers to resolve maintenance problems and recommends measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
Job Requirements:
- Two to Four years of equipment maintenance experience
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electronics
- Knowledge of electrical/mechanical safety practices
- Prior Knowledge of glass manufacturing equipment is helpful.
- Ability to maintain and handle multiple functions/ tasks relating to the day to day operations for Custom Glass Products, Inc.
- Valid drivers license
- Communication skills that ensure personal credibility and effectiveness.
