What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Driver 2nd Shift (2pm - 10pm) position at Custom Glass Solutions?
About the Role:
Custom Glass Solutions is seeking talented individuals to join our Production Team! The Forklift driver is responsible for safely moving product both indoor and outdoor of the manufacturing plant. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who possess the ability to relate to employees at all levels. The forklift operator will empty glass hoppers in a timely manner, pull orders in shipping when needed and use RF gun to track product and location. As unique situations present themselves the successful candidate must be sensitive to customer needs, corporate goals and company reputation. The selected candidate will interface with all manufacturing departments at our Upper Sandusky, OH location.

- Will you conduct all affairs with integrity?
- Are you committed to working safely, promptly reporting any incidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions?
- Will you take initiative to learn new systems and processes, while drawling correlations between how equipment operates?
- Are you willing to use forklift to pick orders for all sizes of glass product?
- Will you clean all hopper areas to prevent overflow of glass and assure all areas are clean of any glass spill?
- Will you operate an RF Gun to track the placement and inventory of glass?
- Possess (2-5) years forklift operating experience with a safe driving record and no accidents.
- Demonstrate the ability to work well in both team and individual role.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions without constant supervision.
- Manage one’s own time and work with little to no supervision
- The ability to work well in high pressure situations.
- Willing to work overtime when needed.
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving and / or material handling.
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel and reach as necessary.
- Attention to detail
- The ability to listen, understand and communicate information and ideas presented through spoken words.
