What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warranty Construction Manager position at Custom Home Exteriors Llc?
Summary:
The Director of Warranty is responsible for; overseeing, managing, and directing warranty services. Exemplifying our CHE Core Values, and helping CHE win. This role reports to the VP Of Construction.
Warranty Scheduling
Managing and coordinating warranty and repair schedules.
- Manage and oversee daily activities of warranty techs, utilize and communicate with original installation crew for warranty work caused by original install, utilizing warranty calendar for scheduling
- Customer name and person that requested repair work
- Lot/neighborhood/address and contact phone number
- Work to be performed
- Materials needed if known to do repair best if verified by field visit.
- Note if billable
- Prep and verify work orders i.e. Customer requests, color selections, work needed, etc.
- Order needed materials for upcoming jobs
- Serve as concierge for customers; communicate customer needs and schedules to CHE Team Members. e. Oversee daily activities directly related to providing services for warranty and repair, to include material warranties. Assist in previewing jobs as needed.
- Enter purchase orders for needed materials.
- Oversee warranty/repair techs daily activities
- Visit sites to ensure work is completed, being installed properly and our scope of work prior to repairs being made.
- Handling difficult homeowners and knowing when to escalate as needed.
Reporting
Prep and send a job summary report on warranty/repair completions, return trips and billing.
- Verify cost for repairs.
- Enter invoice upon job completion per CHE.
- Invoice for repairs as needed.
- Send an invoice to the builder or homeowners as per their requirements.
- Verify and process all VPO's per builder requirements.
- Report on recurring issues that our installers are causing and handle communication to the Area Managers
General Duties
- Ensure proper maintenance of Warranty/Repair vehicles
- Ensure timely completion and quality of repairs being performed
- Presence in the field
- This role requires constant learning and staying up to date with best industry practices by attending training sessions throughout the year.
- This role requires consistent and thorough Communication directly and daily with CHE Field Team Leaders/ Builders/Homeowners
