About the Role

Our success is built on a strong and dynamic sales team. We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth by identifying and qualifying major accounts, dealer opportunities, and end-user sales. This role requires engaging with executives, decision-makers, and industry influencers to expand our market reach.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, an exceptional communicator, and skilled at fostering long-term customer relationships. You will be responsible for providing prompt, knowledgeable, and professional service to clients while collaborating with our internal sales and operations teams to develop strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales activity requirements, including revenue targets and customer retention goals.
  • Build strong relationships with customers to ensure their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Maintain and grow existing accounts through ethical and effective business practices.
  • Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to develop and execute sales and service strategies.
  • Identify declining customer accounts and implement strategies to re-engage and retain them.
  • Serve as the primary contact for customer accounts, providing proactive outreach and support.
  • Conduct weekly outbound customer calls to drive engagement and sales opportunities.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, product offerings, and competitive landscape.
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual sales strategy meetings to align goals and performance metrics.
  • Regularly review customer accounts to track progress, identify opportunities, and optimize retention.
  • Effectively manage time to maximize productivity both on the phone and in the field.
  • Monitor and anticipate competitive activity to position the company as the preferred vendor of choice.
  • Utilize CRM tools effectively and make strategic use of sales collateral to drive success.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.

Candidate Requirements

  • 5 years of verifiable B2B sales experience (preferably in material handling or industrial equipment).
  • Associate’s degree in a related discipline preferred.
  • Previous experience in the material handling industry is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
  • Experience managing corporate or national accounts.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong internet skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
