Custom Marine is a leading manufacturer of highly engineered original equipment and aftermarket stainless steel exhaust headers, exhaust pipes, mufflers, and other marine and industrial components. Our products support healthcare, military, law enforcement, banking, gas stations, etc.
Custom Marine is currently looking for a Buyer to join our team at our Neenah, WI facility.

Ensuring an uninterrupted supply of quality parts at the lowest possible costResponsible for all purchasingWork with Operations, Inventory Control, Sales, Manufacturing, and Finance DeptsKey Responsibilities
Purchase materials for production and other uses to meet production needs per instructionsNegotiate best value with suppliersIdentify and reduce long lead times in the system by utilizing material strategies with suppliersReview daily MRP exception message, purchase order status, and order action reports and take appropriate actionEnsure timely delivery of products to support manufacturingMaintain purchasing data in computer system so that it is always currentResolve problems that occur periodically with suppliersBring vendors on as needed to review pricing, inventory, and process improvements to identify cost savingsMaintain acceptable attendance, quality, and productivityMaintains a neat and organized work areaReview purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policyAnalyze market and delivery systems to assess present / future material needsResolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliersPrepare purchase requisitions, approve and issues purchase orders in accordance with company policy and negotiated terms and conditionsBe able to lift 35 lbs.Performs other assignments as requiredOther Desirable Skills / Knowledge
Understanding of engineering drawings and flow chartsMRP exposure requiredKnowledge of Bill of Material structuringExperience dealing with suppliers including quoting, order processing andtracking delivery and quality performance
Intermediate level of computer skills in e-mail, internet, Word, and ExcelStrong communications and interpersonal skills neededAPICS or CPM classes and certificationsERP / MRP systemEducation and / or Experience Required :
