What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Assistant - Wheelchair, Rehab Equipment - Full Time position at Custom Mobility Inc.?
Largo Florida based Complex Rehab Equipment Company has an opening for an individual experienced in Purchasing and Inventory Control. Experience working for a DME Company or related experience with Rehab Equipment is beneficial but not required.
The position would be trained in the following processes:
Obtain quotes for wheelchair frames thru manufacturer’s order process
Place orders for wheelchairs from quotes received once authorized.
Place orders for wheelchair parts and perpetual inventory of items used in the assembly of seating systems, (hardware, wood, upholstery) and other parts that are routinely stocked.
Become knowledgeable of other manufacturers to obtain quotes for other complex rehab equipment provided by our company such as: enclosed beds, walking aids, standing frames, toileting and bathing equipment.
Learn the inventory program and understand the data entry required when adding new inventory items and pricing updates.
Understand the full process and be able to follow-up on orders, updating computer with dates and notes as required.
Assist with getting answers as needed from the field staff should questions arise prior to obtaining a quote. Follow data entry steps for tracking outstanding questions.
Maintain all parts, new and used, with the correct location in the computer and with barcodes
Work with other staff members to make sure appropriate quantities of inventory are maintained for servicing and for the assemblers. Maintain perpetual inventory levels
Assist with the layout of the inventory as needed for greater efficiency in monitoring levels.
Assign parts to service and sales jobs
Coordinate all parts returns with the Accounting Department.
