Job Description:
Reporting to the Finishing Supervisor, the successful candidate will perform all finishing department tasks involved in the production of Custom Profile’s products. Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Support the company goals of Zero Defects and 100% On-Time Delivery in a cost-efficient manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete finishing tasks as assigned by lead or supervisor.
- Inspect parts for surface quality, color, profile appearance and dimensions. Follow item spec and check sheet to assure accuracy. Relay quality issues to lead or supervisor.
- Complete all necessary finishing paperwork in a timely manner during the course of the work shift.
- Confer with material handlers regarding what materials and changeovers are necessary in advance of anticipated need.
- Follow daily housekeeping and 5S standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Accurately label scrap gay lords and barrels.

Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
Strength in the following areas required:
- Microsoft Office experience (word, outlook, excel)
- Excellent organizational and follow up skills
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
Experience in the following areas is preferred:
- ERP/MRP Experience
- Quality Tools (calculator, calipers, gauges, fixtures)
- 5S/Lean
- Basic Blueprint Reading Skills
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Be able to stand in one place and perform continuous and repetitive movements which may last the entire shift.
- Withstand the presence of unpleasant odors which may occur when using various types of plastic or purging compounds.
- The noise level in our work environment is moderate.
- Safety glasses and closed-toe shoes must be worn on the production floor.
- Some travel, mostly local, is occasionally required.
