Job Summary
We are seeking a Industrial Painter Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background or willingness to learn various painting techniques and construction-related tasks. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on industrial projects. The Painter will work closely with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, prepping, and assisting with sandblasting.
- Apply paint using brushes, rollers, and airless paint spraying techniques.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while adhering to safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in painting, preferably in industrial setting.
- Proficiency or Willingness to learn airless paint spraying methods.
- Proficiency or Willingness to learn sandblasting methods.
- Knowledge of frame carpentry practices is a plus.
- Experience with hand tools and maintenance of equipment.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material requirements.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Willing to train the right person.
